Once upon a time…

All stories have a the same basic components. Like a chef combines basic ingredients in any number of ways, a writer can use these components to create everything from the simplest fairy tale to experimental and beyond.

The major building blocks of stories are, in order of importance: character, plot, setting, and genre. Everything else use spring from there. Here are the pieces laid out, ready to be explored. Use the buttons below to navigate across the sections.
